Lori

How to use:

1. Get it for Firefox or for Chrome
2. Use the mouse to select/highlight the confusing text or character
3. Right click and select "Lori"
   
4. Look to the top left of your screen and note the highlighted characters
   
5. The message will automatically disappear after 5 seconds unless you hover over it, and it can also be cleared by clicking it

Testing:

Try selecting and using Lori on the following name: lIlly
